Description
This can be considered a very pretty pent house in an antique building of the 16th century, situated on the fourth (and last) floor with no elevator in Trastevere, right in the heart of Rome. This building is protected by the Ministery of Arts and therefore cannot be restructured. The entrance is quite simple with the stairs that are made out of the antique typical Roman stone, but this is all quite characteristic! Once you are inside the apartment you are very pleasantly surprised, for it a lovely apartment, very well illuminated, tastefully decorated, with elegant furniture, wooden floors and a fantastic ceiling made of a entwined combination of wooden beams.
Divided in two and a half floors and connected by a white wooden staircase, this apartment has the kitchen, living room and dining area on one floor, and the bedrooms upstairs. The first floor is spacious and sunny, with three wide windows. The living room area is composed of a double sofa bed and two individual couches styled XVI. On one side is the dining area with a round, extendable wooden table and its chairs. The kitchen has a gas stove with four burners, an oven, a full size fridge with a standard freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and is fully equipped with the necessities to be able to cook delicious meals.
A wooden white staircase takes you up first to a cosy tiny room, (ship size), with only the bed for 1 person and the en-suite WC and sink; and then to the master bedroom. It is romantic, with a large double bed and the ceiling made of original wooden-bricks beams. There is a fine bathroom, with a tub, a sort of walking closet, and a small (5sqm) open air panoramic terrace that comes off the master bedroom, where you can enjoy outdoor meals, have a sunbath and pleasing relaxing moments. From here you can see the Roman rooftops, the Janicolum Hillside Park and San Pietro in Montorio church.
This apartment offers a warm and cosy environment. It comes complete with air conditioner, TV and Wi-Fi connection and it is an ideal place for 5 people.

Picturesque and authentic, Trastevere is one of the oldest quarters of the city, where the past remains deeply entrenched with the present. Almost all of the buildings date back to the 1500's, and the narrow, cobblestone streets emanate the great history of this quarter. The prevalent atmosphere is one of days gone by...largely because of the small, quaint shops found everywhere, the historic streets and the absence of large hotels. Trastevere also benefits from its proximity to the Janiculum Hill, a popular place for taking walks. When evening comes, Trastevere awakens to an exciting nightlife. With its restaurants, bars, coffee shops and clubs, Trastevere by night offers innumerable treasures to discover. Situated in the heart of the historic center of Rome, and within short walking distance of all the other zones in the center, it is a popular place for a night out. For instance, in fifteen minutes you can reach Saint Peter's, in ten minutes Campo dei Fiori, in fifteen minutes Piazza Navona, and in twenty minutes the Roman Forum. The quarter is also well connected to all parts of the city centre by bus and by tram and provides connections to the airport from the "Trastevere" train station.
If walking isn't your cup of tea, then you can take the tram 116, which passes infront of Via Mantellate in Lungotevere and takes you directly to Piazza Spagna. Another option is strolling down Via delle Mantellate to Viale Trastevere, Trastevere's main street, and taking the Tram No. 8, which goes all the way to Largo Argentina in less than 10 minutes (right next to Piazza Venezia).
